Group Lessons for Home Educated Students

Who are home ed group lessons for?

These group lessons are tailored to home educated students to provide quality maths tuition for just £5 per lesson.

Each day of the week is focused on a specific topic in the curriculum. There are lessons for younger students (KS3: Year 7, 8 and 9) and older students (KS4: Year 10 and 11) on each day. The ages are just a guide so feel free to join any lesson you feel your child would be better suited to.

The calendar has been carefully considered to cover the 7 main areas of the curriculum across the month (Algebra, Number, Ratio & Proportion, Geometry and Probability & Statistics).

You can find out more about group lessons for students at school here.

If you are looking for one-to-one tuition, you can find out more here.

How do home ed group lessons work?

Lessons are 1 hour long and have a maximum of 15 students per lesson! This makes group lessons more interactive and beneficial to students.

Within lessons, I will work through a series of worked examples, pausing to allow students to write down the examples and ask questions. The chat and ‘raise a hand’ function keeps lessons organised so all students have the opportunity to ask questions in the way they are most comfortable.

Students will also have the chance to attempt questions individually and take on the role of the teacher to answer a question for the group. There will be a mixture of assessment questions and multiple choice questions to apply the work that is covered in the lesson. Take a look at the video below which shows how a group lesson works.
