My one-to-one Maths tutor lessons are provided on Zoom and are available to primary, secondary and mature students re-doing their Mathematics in The Holmes. Each 1-2-1 Maths tutor lesson in The Holmes is catered to each individual student, nonetheless their age and ability. One-to-One Maths tuition gives students my entire attention which allows a positive environment where students can explain questions – something that various students may find hard to do in the classrooms of The Holmes!
My BSc Mathematics and Sport Science Degree, coupled with my tutor experience in differing secondary schools, has provided me with a solid mathematical skillset. Mathematical knowledge is one thing, but being able to tutor students of many abilities in The Holmes is another. My understanding of the national curriculum is strong and this is visible in my students results. Being youthful and driven about Maths allows me to start positive working relationships with my students. This starts a beneficial learning environment where my students across The Holmes can succeed in Mathematics!
I am a real believer that all students are capable of excelling in Mathematics and I am driven to give students across The Holmes the education and confidence to succeed.
All students can be successful with a Maths Tutor in The Holmes
Maths can be challenging for the majority of us in The Holmes. Despite this, when the curriculum is made simple and taught slowly, Mathematics can become simple to grasp. It is key that all students digest why steps materialise in solving problems to cement a superior understanding. I think that everyone can become comfortable in Maths by:
- Grasping the crucial topics.
- Learning from errors.
- Practice!
When revising for my GCSE’s, I also had a Mathematics tutor and this completely changed my thoughts on Maths. My Maths tutor led me to prosper in A-Level Maths and beyond. It is this positive impact on students grades that motivates me to navigate my students to success!
